Ultrasound VRs – Real-Time Sign Language Translation At the Edge
Globally, around 466 million people (6.1% of the population) suffer from disabling hearing loss, urging research prioritization. Despite advancements like hearing aids, cochlear implants, and sign language recognition, limitations persist. Our solution involves an AI-powered app and VR headset for sign-to-text/voice conversion. For the deaf, their signs become voice; for others, speech turns into artificial sign language or text in VR. This aids education, employment, and social interaction, fostering inclusivity.
